The one week T&E4208 is designed to provide technical and human factors information regarding NVGs, NVIS  (NVG compatible) interior and exterior lighting, and the integration of all three in the aircraft.  Emphasis is placed on system evaluation techniques, which are based on years of practical experience in a number of different aircraft.  Topical information in the academic lectures is reinforced during NVIS lab and aircraft demonstrations, and one optional NVG demonstration flight (T&E4208a).  The one week T&E4218 incorporates intensive practical demonstrations and hands-on evaluation experience. Ground evaluations will include; NVG system evaluation, NVIS lighting evaluation, and the integration of both in the aircraft. Following the ground evaluations will be a flight evaluation of the NVIS system. Students will compile the data and present an oral report of the findings and provide recommendations. T&E 4208 is a prerequisite for T&E 4218.
