The National Test Pilot School of Mojave California and
Thunder City, formerly Classic Jets South Africa of
Capetown RSA signed an agreement in the year 2000 to use
Thunder City’s facilities and aircraft for flight test
training in South Africa. The
facilities include classrooms, offices and instrumented
propeller and jet aircraft including Lightning’s,
Hunters,
Buccaneers,
Strikemasters,
and single and multi-engine propeller aircraft.

Research Inc.
Flight Research was founded in 1981 in Mojave, California,
to meet the growing need for private-sector specialists in
flight test design and implementation. Besides the
various services we offer commercially, we also supply
aircraft and technical services to our sister
organization, the National Test Pilot School. We are very
proud of our reputation as an on-time, cost-effective,
customer support-oriented organization.

Flight Test Services
"NTPS and AFTS have had a Strategic Alliance
since 1989. This Alliance has been strengthened over
the years through such programs as Airborne Research
Vehicles Australia (see the AFTS website for details on
ARVA), the development of flight test instrumentation
systems and co-operative business development activities.
The focus of this Alliance is to provide clients with the
best, most cost effective flight test and aerospace
engineering support irrespective of which side of the
Pacific they reside. NTPS supports AFTS and its
associates in the development of an Australian based
flight test training facility to be known as National Test
Pilot School (Australia) Inc."
